Last month, ICN members gathered in Rio de Janeiro for our Annual Meeting – three days packed with exchange, partnership-building, and real-world challenges brought to the table by decision-makers from across the Global South. The meeting once again underlined how valuable global collaboration is for local innovation – and how relevant those solutions remain in an international context.

The ICN Annual Meeting officially began this week in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together members and partners from around the world for three days of exchange, innovation, and collaboration. Hosted on the top floor of a hotel overlooking Ipanema Beach, the event welcomed participants from at least eight different countries in person, with many others joining online.

Aquatech Amsterdam 2025 proved to be an outstanding success. It brought together key players from the global water industry to share groundbreaking solutions and foster collaboration. As the world’s leading trade exhibition for water technology, it attracted over 25,000 visitors from more than 140 countries. It hosted 900 exhibitors, highlighting its reputation as a valuable platform for advancing water management and innovation.

On February 3rd, the groundbreaking initiative HI2 Valley officially launched, marking a significant step towards establishing a large-scale renewable hydrogen (H2) economy in Austria and connecting Europe.
