Cluster Collaboration: ENDURANCE Workshop

🗓️ 10 June 2025

📍 Online & Copenhagen, Denmark

Mid-June, European cluster collaboration was on full display in Copenhagen, where the ENDURANCE project brought together cleantech actors from across the continent to advance the circular transition for SMEs.

Hosted by ICN member Clean, the workshop featured strong participation from other ICN members such as Cleantech Bulgaria, Flux50, Cluster TWEED, and Water Alliance. Together, these organizations demonstrated how practical, hands-on support can enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to implement circular solutions.

The event gathered over 30 stakeholders – including cluster representatives, researchers, policy experts, and entrepreneurs – for a day of exchange, strategy, and shared learning. Through workshops, panel discussions, and best-practice showcases, participants explored how regional innovation ecosystems can be activated to support the green and circular economy transition.

💬 As Scott Grønnegaard Allison from Clean noted:

To drive meaningful circular change within our member companies, it’s essential to have access to the best tools and knowledge. ENDURANCE delivers just that – making it easier for clusters to support SMEs in the green transition.

The workshop highlighted:

  • Tools and strategies for building long-term circular economy capacity within clusters,

  • Ways to ensure SME support mechanisms are accessible, relevant, and scalable, and

  • The value of transnational cooperation in amplifying local innovation.

The ENDURANCE project is a shining example of what ICN stands for: enabling cleantech clusters to strengthen each other through cross-border collaboration, knowledge exchange, and shared commitment to climate-neutral innovation.

The International Cleantech Network is proud to see its members at the forefront of this effort, demonstrating how circular economy goals can move from theory to practice – one SME at a time.
