The challenge successfully connected four SMEs with breakthrough solutions to Novafos and Metro Vancouver, laying the foundation for potential collaborations in sustainable water management.

Are you a SME offering innovative solutions in the water sectors? Join this webinar to hear directly from the Danish water utility Novafos and Metro Vancouver about their sustainability challenges, technology needs and approach to collaborating with innovative technology suppliers. You will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A, and to apply to submit your solution to solve presented challenges.

The webinar will cover two challenges:

Challenge 1: Novafos

How to treat combined sewer overflows in order to comply with requirements in relation to bacteria and environmentally harmful substances taking into consideration.

  • High variation in flow (high flows and in periods no flow)

  • Low costs

  • Low maintenance and operation

  • Limited space

Challenge 2: Metro Vancouver

Metro Vancouver is a federation of 21 municipalities that plans for and delivers regional utility services, including water, sewers and wastewater treatment, and solid waste management. They are seeking solutions for:

  • Recovering ammonia from centrate and converting it to hydrogen
