AURORA seizmic KIC is a two-year project under the EIT Higher Education Initiative that aims to strengthen social entrepreneurship and innovation support within the AURORA European University Alliance by developing shared incubation and acceleration pathways. The project builds on the existing seizmic APP from earlier alliance phases and turns it into an AI-enabled mentoring environment for social entrepreneurship that integrates resources from the EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs): Climate-KIC, 28DIGITAL and EIT Health.
The project follows four steps: connecting KIC resources to existing social entrepreneurship education within AURORA, developing the seizmic APP into an AI mentor, linking alliance-level incubator and accelerator programmes into a shared venture pathway, and pursuing EIT-labelled programmes. AURORA ultimately aims to reach at least 4000 students, connect ten start-ups with KIC mentors and support 20 student venture teams.
Drawing on its experience connecting innovation ecosystems, ICN contributes to ensuring that the shared incubation and acceleration program reflects the needs of startups and innovation partners and supports students in taking promising ideas further.
